What is a server? what are the types of servers?

A server is a hardware, dedicated or specialized for keeping a software and database.

There are two types of servers:

• Physical server – the server, which all resources are strictly direct to the client for his work without the limitation. 
• Virtual Private Server (VPS or VDS) is a dedicated place on a physical server. One dedicated server can contain a few VPS, so physical server divides its resources between all launched VPS.
