How to change password to Windows RDP
Before changing your password, it’s important to keep the basic security principles in mind. Your new password must be at least 9 characters long and include both lowercase and uppercase letters, as well as at least one number and one special character. Otherwise, the password may simply not be accepted due to Windows policy and will not be changed on the server. You can use our tool to create one.
To change the password in your Administrator account
Click "Start" and on the Control Panel icon
In the Control Panel window, select "User Accounts", then click "User Accounts" again and in the new window "Manage another account"
Choose one of the accounts
Then change password
Next in the "Change Password"
- Enter your current password
- Enter the new password in the "Confirm password" line - enter the new password again
- Save changes with the "Change password" button
