Відновлення сайту з Вебархіву з допомогою ШІ

Do you want to transfer your website, but for some reason, it is no longer available on your hosting?
Often the only source for restoring the website might be https://web.archive.org
Restoring a website from the Web Archive is not an easy task, but modern AI agents and LLM models can help you with this.

What will we need for the transfer?

- a shared hosting account (each plan supports Sitebuilder - a website builder with easy management and content editing)
- an installed browser extension  (e.g., Claude Chrome)
- a Claude account (or an alternative)
- a new domain, or access to transfer your own domain.

What the user needs to do:

1. Purchase or take a test period for a shared hosting plan that suits your website;
2. Launch the browser extension, which will create a tab group in your browser; continue working inside this group

3. Log in to the control panel using the received credentials and click on Site Builder

4. Select a domain
5. Find your website on https://web.archive.org
5. Give your AI agent (e.g., Claude) a prompt for migration. You can write it yourself or use

What does the AI agent do?

  • Navigates to the builder page and starts importing the website using the source link; if progress hangs, it reloads the page and continues.
  • Removes unnecessary pages to match the required list (the builder allows pulling up to 20 pages, so define your priorities).
  • Removes all Web Archive website elements.
  • Goes through the site menu, finds the necessary items, and transfers them to the builder.
  • Checks SEO fields for each page — title, description, and separately — favicon and social media preview image, as these two fields almost always remain empty after import and require manual filling.
  • Publishes the site and immediately verifies that the new domain actually opens.
  • Compares 2-3 key pages of the new site with the original to ensure the content matches.
  • Provides a concise summary report: how many pages were created, if broken links remain, whether favicon/og-image are set, and a link to the finished website.
